I began DJ'ing in 1976 to make college and beer money. What started as a short term gig has turned into one of over 30 years! From '76 to '89 I either worked with or for others, but in 1989 I decided that if I was going to do most or all of the work, I may as well get all of the money (and headaches of sole ownership), so The Carolina Sounds Beach Show was born in August of 1989. I've been blessed to have worked with and become friends with, many of my musical heroes over the years and have made met many music fans along the way who have become dear to me. The Beach Music industry has honored me with being nominated several times for "Club/Mobile DJ of the Year" at the CBMA's and 2001 was "my lucky year". If another CBMA comes my way, that is great and I will accept with honor and humility, but I didn't get into this business for awards. I truly love playing this great music and making so many new friends along the way.
