Website Denny McConnell - Owner, MUSIC TO YOU Denny started his DJ career in the height of the disco era at a club called “Hugo’s” in Reading, PA in 1974. His business, MUSIC TO YOU, became the first Mobile Music Service business in the Reading area, which provided a disc jockey and music for all types of events such as weddings, birthday parties, anniversary parties, class reunions, etc. His love of music stemmed from growing up in the 1950’s and attending dances every weekend in the Berks County area. Denny’s musical library contains music from the big band era all the way through to the current music being released today, even though his favorite music, Doo-Wop, is rooted in his childhood. MUSIC TO YOU has grown to include all types of entertainment such as Karaoke, Mobile Jeopardy, Music Videos, and Trivia Games, in addition to the traditional DJ music. Denny has been the featured speaker at numerous DJ Expos. He was named “DJ of the Month” by the DJ Times magazine in October, 1996, was runner up for the DJ of the Year competition at the DJ Convention in Atlantic City, NJ in 2004, and was the co-host for Cool Bobby-B’s Doo Wop convention in Las Vegas in 2007. In addition to being a Disc Jockey and Emcee, Denny hosts his own Doo-Wop Radio show called the “Music of Your Mind” show on Rockit Radio.net. Which plays a variety of Doo-WOP, BEACH, R&B and BLUES
